- War Cemetery Location: Chittagong War Cemetery is in Dampara area, No.19 Badsha Mia Chowdhury Road, 22 kilometers north of the airplane terminal and 8 kilometers from the port on a site which was once in the past paddy fields, yet which has now been produced. It is close to expressions of the human experience school and near to Finlay's Guest Houses close Chatteshanry Road; an outstanding street prompting the Hindu Kali Bari Temple. There is no C.W.G.C. street heading sign. The Burial region is arranged at the base of a slant specifically behind Finlay's Guest Houses and is encompassed by an expansive zone planted with a blend of wilderness trees,fruit trees and blossoming trees. It isn't actually observed from the street. A tight tarmacked path leads from the passageway door to the internment zone which is entered through a metal entryway flanked by two little block churches. The burial ground entryways are open from 07.00 to 12 twelve and 14.00 to 17.00. Inside the burial ground will likewise be discovered the Chittagong Memorial which, together with the Bombay 1939-1945 War Memorial, to be found in the Indian Seamen's Hostel Bombay, remembers more than 400 mariners of the previous Indian Navy and almost 6,000 mariners of the previous Indian Merchant Navy who were lost adrift amid the war years. Graves have since been exchanged to this graveyard from the Lushai Hills (Assam) and other disengaged locales, and from Chittagong Civil Cemetery; Chandragona Baptist Mission Cemetery; Chiringa Military Cemetery; Graveyards; Jessore Protestant Cemetery; Khulna Cemetery; Khurushkul Island Christian and Muhammadan Cemeteries; Lungleh Cemetery (Assam); Nawapara Cemetery (Assam); Patiya Military Cemetery, Rangamati Cemetery; Tezgaon Roman Catholic Cemetery; Tumbru Ghat Military Cemetery and Tumbru M.D.S. Healing facility Cemetery. There are currently 731 Commonwealth entombments of the 1939-45 war here, 17 of which are unidentified. There are a further 20 Foreign National internments, 1 being a sailor of the Dutch Navy and 19 Japanese troopers, 1 of which is unidentified. There are likewise 4 non war U.K. military entombments. Visiting Time: Chittagong War Cemetery is open each day between 08:00-12:00 and 2:00-5:00.
